Easy

Given a whole number n, return the sum of the first n positive whole numbers:

1 + 2 + 3 + … + n

When n is 0 there are no numbers to add, and the sum is 0.

Example 1

Input: n = 6

Output: 21

Explanation: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 = 21.

Example 2

Input: n = 0

Output: 0

Explanation: There are no numbers to add, so the sum is 0.

Example 3

Input: n = 1000

Output: 500500
